A gearbox transfers engine power into controlled propulsion, making it one of the most important decisions in a marine drive system. The right unit depends on vessel type, operating pattern, torque requirements, and available space.

Ocean Marine supplies medium- and heavy-duty marine gearboxes sourced from proven manufacturers for a range of applications.

Match the gearbox to the job

Mechanical and hydraulic gearboxes each serve different operating needs. Choosing the correct reduction ratio and duty rating helps protect the engine, support smooth manoeuvring, and deliver efficient performance on the water.
